Instructor: De’Anthony Price
Instructor Bio: De’Anthony Price is the Agriculture and Natural Resource Agent for UF/IFAS Extension Jefferson County. He is a crop scientist and science communicator from Atlanta, Ga. Being raised in an urban setting, he focuses on educating underserved communities on agriculture and the importance of sustainability. De’Anthony believes that, to meet the demanding population of consumers’ needs, one needs to have a diversified food system while using sustainable practices. His experience includes sustainable agriculture, crop production systems, community programming, minorities in agriculture, and science communication. He specializes in growing specialty vegetables and medicinal crops. In 2020, He graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Communication. In 2022, he graduated from Alabama A&M University with a master’s degree in plant and soil science, focusing on agronomy. When not working, he enjoys karaoke, outdoor activities, and spending time with his Fiancé and Dog.
